Einstein once said; "If you always do what you always did, you will always get what you always got"......simple yet profound. We are creatures of habit, and these habits (critical self-talk, unhealthy behaviours, damaging beliefs, etc.) tend to have a negative impact on our view of the world. Often we automatically focus on the worst possible scenario, erroneously thinking that somehow this will prepare and protect us from life's challenges when it actually contributes to seeing the world through a negative lense. There are always many options in terms of how we view things. We have the power to choose the most useful rather than discouraging outlook. We will work together as you learn how to change the way you view the world.
The crux of change is taking personal responsibility, but only for that which is yours to take! Identifying what we are and are not responsible for is an important part of the change process.....particularly for people who tend to feel excessive guilt.
